what a massage session is like

When you enter Lisa’s massage room, a sense of calm and relaxation comes over you. Her linens are 5 star. She starts your session with a sound bath using her crystal bowls. Palo Santo is always a must to clear the energy in her healing space. She will evaluate your body by seeing the excess energy coming off your body. Lisa intuitively follows your energy lines through your body to find your restricted areas. Depending on your needs, Lisa will massage either the full body or only specific areas that needs attention. She will often have you breathe into focused areas during the massage. The problem isn’t always where we feel pain. The gift is being able to listen to what the body telling us.

repetitive strain injury

Massage therapy also helps with repetitive strain injury which is also known as cumulative trauma or overuse injuries. These most often occur in the muscle tendons and ligaments of the wrist, forearm, shoulders and neck. Common types are: tendinitis, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, and tennis or golfer’s elbow.

A therapeutic massage can decrease the pain and enhance healing by reducing painful muscle tension, releasing trigger points, improving circulation, increasing pliability of scar tissue, helping stimulate healthy regeneration, improving range of motion, and improving posture and joint alignment.
